Brazil launches anti-dumping investigation into China-produced polymer MDI
It was learned from the Ministry of Commerce that the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade issued an announcement on June 8, deciding to launch an anti-dumping investigation into polydiphenylmethane diisocyanate (polymer MDI) imported from the United States, Belgium and China.
Since China is not regarded as a market economy country in anti-dumping procedures, Pakistan plans to choose the United States as a surrogate country to calculate the normal value of Chinese products. Since there are a large number of manufacturers of products involved in the case, Pakistan will select those with larger export volumes as the objects of investigation. Other interested parties can apply to Pakistan to participate in the investigation within 20 days from the announcement date. The companies involved should fill out and submit the questionnaire within 40 days.
