my country’s acrylonitrile imports have increased significantly
According to customs data, my country imported 53,583 tons of acrylonitrile in April this year, a year-on-year increase of 57.5%, but a decrease of 3.5% from March.
In April, China’s largest acrylonitrile supplier was the United States, with a supply of 16,603 tons; followed by South Korea, with a supply of 13,502 tons; and Japan, with a supply of 10,205 tons. The price of acrylonitrile in Asia reached a record high of US$2,875/ton (CFR Far East price) in the last week of April, an increase of 17% over the same period last year. Due to a series of maintenance of acrylonitrile units and the many production problems faced by manufacturers, the supply of acrylonitrile worldwide is tight, resulting in relatively high prices this year.
