Türkiye conducts review of safeguard measures on cotton threads and initiates investigation
On June 11, 2011, Turkey launched an investigation into the sunset review of safeguard measures on cotton yarn, and also proposed to impose a 200-day temporary safeguard tax on the products involved. The customs codes of the products involved are 52.05, 52.06, and 52.07.
In May 2008, Turkey launched a safeguard measure investigation into cotton threads; in November 2008, Turkey made a positive final ruling on the case.
