In the hemp processing workshop, the roar of the machines is endless, and the workers are skillfully operating the machines. “At present, all 30 workers on the production line are on duty, implementing ‘two shifts’ and producing 24 hours a day. It is expected that about 30 tons of hemp stalks can be processed every day and about 5 tons of finished hemp can be produced. The income has increased compared with the same period last year. The employment rate has increased. They are workers from surrounding forest farms, and they have also effectively resettled the surplus labor force in the forest farms.” said Zhou Lei, deputy manager of Baimashi Agricultural Development Co., Ltd.
Working in a hemp processing factory has become an important side job for workers in nearby forest farms. “The hemp processing factory keeps us busy during the winter. We can earn an average of 200 yuan a day working here, which is a considerable income in a month. You can earn that much right at home, and you can also take care of your family. There is no need to go out to work. .” said Han Fengfu, an employee of Qiyi Forest Farm.
Zhou Lei told reporters that in order to promote early production and start work as scheduled, they made arrangements in advance and made a series of preparations, focusing on strengthening employee safety education, doing a good job in circuit restoration, production line maintenance, and logistics material reserves. Baimashi Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. has a demonstration base of 4,300 acres of hemp cultivation. On the basis of the original hemp fiber processing plant with an annual processing capacity of 1,600 tons of hemp raw stems, it has acquired a hemp fiber processing plant. At present, the first phase of the Wudaohe Forest Farm Hemp Processing Plant has been completed, and the second phase of construction will be carried out this year.
