With the end of the Spring Festival holiday, various cotton companies in Alar, Xinjiang, have resumed work one after another. The rise in foreign cotton during the holiday boosted the domestic cotton market after the holiday.
On February 7, Zheng cotton rose sharply, boosting spot prices. The person in charge of a local cotton company said that due to the strong influence of Zheng cotton, the company’s lint sales have improved slightly, but the price is still in the inversion stage. This year, about 35,000 tons of seed cotton were purchased. The quality of lint cotton is mostly “double 29A” and “double 29B”, and the processing cost is 23,000-24,000 yuan/ton. Affected by the rise in lint prices in the external market and external bullish factors, most companies are optimistic about the market outlook.
