On the morning of July 2, the textile and garment industry chain length work meeting and the second working meeting of the 10th investment team were held to introduce the current development status of the city’s textile and apparel industry and discuss the chain length work plan.
Liu Huiping, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Minister of Propaganda, requested that one enterprise and one policy formulate a development plan for leading enterprises. It is necessary to persist in attracting investment, rely on existing advantageous enterprises to carry out investment promotion, and arrange investment projects according to basic functional zones. The Municipal Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, Finance Bureau, Federation of Industry and Commerce, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank and other industrial chain specialized units must take targeted projects. Take specific measures to serve investment projects well. It is necessary to recruit “golden phoenixes” from other places and cultivate local “native sparrows” to further improve the textile and clothing industry chain and further expand the industrial scale.

As of 2020, Jingzhou has a total of 134 textile and garment enterprises that meet regulatory requirements, with an output value of 13.25 billion yuan. According to the plan, the total output value of the city’s textile and garment industry will reach 50 billion yuan by 2025.
