Some Vietnamese textile companies have signed orders until the third quarter
According to a report by Vietnam’s “Industry and Trade News” on February 19, there are currently many textile companies in Vietnam that have signed production orders until the first quarter of 2014, and some companies have signed them until the second quarter.
Statistics from the General Administration of Customs of Vietnam show that in January 2014, Vietnam’s textile exports were approximately US$1.9 billion, a month-on-month increase of 10.6% and a year-on-year increase of 21.7%. Among them, the export volume of foreign direct investment enterprises (FDI) was US$1.13 billion, accounting for 59.4% of Vietnam’s total textile exports. The top three export markets of Vietnam’s textiles are: the United States, Europe, and Japan, with export values of US$955 million (an increase of 23.3%), US$302 million (an increase of 26.4%), and US$228 million (an increase of 10.4%).
