Hunan’s imports still grew significantly, importing 38,000 tons, an increase of 60%, ranking 9th among importing provinces and cities. Shandong, a major cotton spinning province, decreased by 4.1%. It mainly imports Indian yarn and Pakistani yarn, with an import volume of 267,000 tons, ranking 4th among importing provinces and cities. Guangdong imported 544,000 tons, down 15.5% year-on-year, ranking first; Zhejiang imported 332,000 tons, ranking second, down 18% year-on-year. Anhui fell by 13.6%, Jiangsu, Fujian, and Beijing fell by 24.4%, 25%, and 50.2% respectively.

The trade mode is mainly general trade, accounting for 78.9% of the total cotton yarn imports, which is 1.557 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 12.7%; processing trade is supplemented, accounting for 18.4%, and the import volume is 363,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 12.7%. A decrease of 27.1%, of which 343,000 tons were processed with imported materials.
