PyeongChang Winter Olympics Torchbearer Outfits Announced
The PyeongChang Winter Olympics torch is mainly white and gold in color and is 700 mm high, representing PyeongChang’s altitude of 700 meters. After the torch is lit, the flame will burn in five directions. This is the “*” – the symbol of Pyeongchang. This symbol is engraved on the lower half and around the top of the torch.
The torch for this Winter Olympics was designed by Jin Yingshi, the founder of the design company InnoDesign. The torch production will be undertaken by Hanwha Group, which is also the manufacturer of the 1988 Seoul Olympics torch.
The torchbearer clothing unveiled at the same time as the torch is produced by the outdoor brand TheNorthFace (North Face). The clothing design combines the colors of the Olympic rings and uses waterproof materials that also have cold resistance.
