EU issues consumer warning on Chinese girls’ skirts
On April 7, 2017, the European Commission’s Rapid Early Warning System for Non-Food Products (RAPEX) issued a consumer warning (alert number: A12/0439/17) on Chinese-made “M?mefashion” brand girls’ skirts. The notifying country in this case is Hungary. The product reported this time is a sleeveless white dress for little girls. The skirt has tiny rhinestones glued on and sequins, beads and tulle flowers sewn on. Sample size is 24M. The product style/model number is 900781. Barcode unknown. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development industry classification code (OECD Portal Category) is 67000000-Clothing.
The small rhinestones decorated on the above clothes are easy to fall off. Children may accidentally swallow it, posing a choking hazard.
At present, dealers have taken measures to delist the above products and recall them from consumers.
To this end, it is recommended that relevant domestic production and export enterprises attach great importance to this. EU issues consumer warning on Chinese girls’ skirts
