Exports of textiles and clothing from the former Horgos region amounted to 1.1 billion
From January to July 2017, Khorgos region exported 9.848 billion yuan in textiles and clothing, a year-on-year increase of 34.05%, accounting for 31.39% of the regional export trade volume. Among them, clothing was 6.024 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.45%; textile yarns, fabrics and products were 3.824 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 66.04%.
In the first seven months, the textile and clothing exports in the Khorgos region were mainly kitchen fabric products, which were mainly sold to Kazakhstan. Among them, private enterprises are the main export force, with export value reaching 9.335 billion yuan.
With the strong support of national policies, Xinjiang will complete an investment of 60 billion yuan in the textile and clothing industry in 2017. Xinjiang’s textile and clothing industry is expected to maintain vigorous development, and its results will inevitably enter the surrounding traditional export markets through Xinjiang ports.
At the same time, the economies of major exporting countries around Horgos are showing signs of recovery and their demand for commodities has increased, driving a substantial increase in the export of my country’s advantageous products.
