China’s total textile output doubled
In the 40 years of reform and opening up, China’s textile industry has undergone earth-shaking changes, becoming a major textile country in the world and moving towards a powerful textile country.
From 1978 to 2017, the total output value of China’s textile industry soared from 47.32 billion yuan to 6.893565 billion yuan, an increase of 145.6 times; exports increased from 2.154 billion US dollars to 274.51 billion US dollars, an increase of 127.4 times. Textile exports accounted for 10% of the world’s textile trade. 36.8%; net foreign exchange earnings increased from US$1.03 billion to US$241.9 billion. (Editor: DYL)
