In terms of seed production, grain and mulberry co-ordination and park construction, 14,700 acres of high-quality mulberry gardens were built, 1.011 million silkworm seeds were produced, 546,500 tons of silkworm cocoons were produced, 136,000 tons of mulberries were produced, and the comprehensive output value of sericulture cocoons and silk was 5.468 billion yuan, of which, The income of silkworm farmers from cocoons and mulberries was 1.879 billion yuan, and the annual target was achieved as scheduled. The meeting emphasized: As a traditional advantageous industry in Liangshan Prefecture, the sericulture industry has made outstanding contributions and achieved remarkable results in helping farmers increase income, consolidate poverty alleviation results, and assist rural revitalization. In 2023, all counties and cities must strengthen their confidence in development, seize development opportunities, and effectively carry out key tasks such as sericulture bases, park creation, fund integration, technological innovation, and order maintenance, focusing on Rural revitalization and consolidating the results of poverty alleviation, focusing on investment support and consolidating the industrial foundation, focusing on the development of the seed industry and ensuring the safety of seed use, focusing on the coordination of grain and mulberry crops and promoting coordinated development, focusing on scientific and technological innovation to help improve quality and efficiency, focusing on development and utilization, and promoting diversification develop. Aim at the annual goals, consolidate work responsibilities, and conscientiously implement the task list, responsibility list, and supervision list to ensure that 10,000 acres of new (renovated) high-quality mulberry gardens will be built throughout the year, 900,000 high-quality silkworm seeds will be produced, and the output of silkworm cocoons will be 550,000 tons , the output of mulberries was 140,000 tons, the comprehensive output value of sericulture cocoons and silk was 5.738 billion yuan, and the silkworm farmers’ income from selling cocoons and fruits was 1.9 billion yuan, the target task was successfully completed.
