Melt blown cloth
Many people have misunderstandings or understanding of “Melt-blown cloth“. Next, let the editor take everyone together to share with friends and explore more about “Melt-blown cloth” b>”Knowledge…
Melt-blown cloth
Melt-blown cloth is a filter material with polypropylene as the main raw material. The fiber diameter can reach 1 to 5 microns. These ultra-fine fibers with unique capillary structure increase the number and surface area of fibers per unit area, so that the melt-blown cloth has good filtering, shielding, thermal insulation and oil absorption properties. It can be used in fields such as air and liquid filter materials, isolation materials, absorption materials, mask materials, thermal insulation materials and wipers.
1 Application Scope Edit
(1) Medical and sanitary cloths: surgical gowns, protective clothing, disinfection wraps, masks, diapers, women’s sanitary napkins, etc.;
(2) Cloths for home decoration: wall coverings, tablecloths, sheets, bedspreads, etc.;
(3) Fabrics for clothing: lining, adhesive lining, wadding, styling cotton, various synthetic leather base fabrics, etc.;
(4) Industrial cloth: filter materials, insulation materials, cement packaging bags, geotextiles, covering cloths, etc.;
(5) Agricultural cloth: crop protection cloth, seedling raising cloth, irrigation cloth, thermal insulation curtain, etc.;
(6) Others: space cotton, thermal insulation and sound insulation materials, linoleum felt, cigarette filters, tea bags, etc.
Melt-blown cloth filter material is made of polypropylene ultrafine fibers that are randomly distributed and stuck together. The appearance is white, smooth, and soft. The fiber fineness of the material is 0.5-1.0μm. The random distribution of the fibers provides more space between the fibers. Thermal bonding opportunities allow the melted gas filter material to have a larger specific surface area and higher porosity (≥75%). Through high-pressure electret filtration efficiency, the product has the characteristics of low resistance, high efficiency, and high dust holding capacity.
2 Main Specifications Edit
Weight: 18g-500g
Width: generally 160cm and 180mm (can also be determined according to customer needs)
Melt-blown cloth uses high-speed hot air flow to draw the thin stream of polymer melt extruded from the die nozzle, thereby forming ultra-fine fibers and collecting them on the coagulation curtain or roller, and at the same time sticks to itself. Together they become melt-blown nonwoven fabrics.
The main production process of melt blown cloth is:
1. Melt preparation
2. Filtration
3. Measurement
4. Melt extrusion from spinneret holes
5. Melt trickle drafting and cooling
6. Web forming
3 Product Use Edit
Melt-blown cloth uses polypropylene as the main raw material, and the fiber diameter can reach 0.5-10 microns. These ultra-fine fibers with unique capillary structure increase the number and surface area of fibers per unit area, thus Melt-blown cloth has good air filtration properties and is a relatively good mask material. In large, medium and small medical institutions, in areas affected by earthquakes and floods, and in the high incidence seasons of SARS, avian influenza and H1N1 viruses, melt-blown filter paper is used with it. Strong filtration performance plays an irreplaceable role. Meltblown nonwovens are mainly used for:
1. Filter materials
2. Medical and sanitary materials
3. Environmental protection materials
4. Clothing materials
5. Battery separator materials
6. Wipe the material
Filtration materials are widely used, followed by medical and health materials, environmental protection materials, clothing materials, battery separator materials, and wiping materials.
