Polyester fiber is a regenerated cellulose fiber that can be produced from cotton linters or purified wood pulp. It is hydrophobic and thermoplastic, has good drape and is easy to wash; has a soft hand feel and a certain degree of recovery; is resistant to acrylic acid solutions, sensitive to alkali solutions, and can be dyed with disperse dyes. There are two types of polyester fibers: diacetate and triacetate. Diacetate fiber and triacetate fiber are made from the same raw materials, but diacetate fiber is more hydrophilic and softer than triacetate fiber, has lower strength than viscose fiber, lower wet strength, and higher elongation. It is mainly used to produce decorative fabrics, warp satin, taffeta and other clothing fabrics; most cigarette filters are made of cellulose. The dyeing temperature is close to the boiling point. It can be set by dry heat and wet heat. Its mechanical properties are similar to diacetate fiber. , but the wet strength decreases less; it has a crisp and thick feel and good shape setting; its application as a textile is more diverse, such as underwear, skirts, slacks, fabrics, tablecloths and decorative fabrics, etc.
