In 2017, sales in the textile machinery market were generally good, with sales in almost all product categories achieving growth.

Due to the overall stable operation of the domestic textile industry and the recovery of demand in the international and domestic textile markets, various indicators of the economic operation of my country’s textile machinery industry have improved, and the import and export trade volume of textile machinery products has both achieved positive growth. The textile machinery industry strives to adjust and optimize the industrial structure, build a multi-point support system, and follow the pace of the development of the “One Belt, One Road”. The performance in the first three quarters of 2017 was better than the same period in 2016, and economic indicators such as main business income and total profit achieved year-on-year performance Double-digit growth.
Second, industry structure adjustment has made significant progress. Wang Shutian said that this progress is reflected in many aspects. For example, at the level of national policy support, a number of textile machinery intelligent manufacturing projects have received support and have achieved results in pilot demonstrations in some key areas. The structural adjustment of textile machinery products has achieved results, and product varieties have become more abundant. In the 1980s and 1990s, the output of cotton spinning equipment accounted for more than 40% of the textile machinery industry, and now it accounts for about 30%. This does not mean that the total amount of spinning equipment itself has decreased, but that other sub-sectors are growing rapidly. For example, knitting machinery and nonwoven equipment are growing rapidly. Especially in the fields of chemical fiber equipment and nonwoven equipment, which were relatively weak in the industry in the past, there has been leap-forward progress. In these areas, the timely launch of new machine models has played a positive role in promoting the structural adjustment of the textile industry. At the same time, the structure of textile machinery products has become more reasonable. In addition, many new products have been developed around energy conservation, environmental protection and intelligence.
Third, textile machinery companies pay more attention to technological innovation and have made breakthroughs in many technical fields. In the 2017 China Textile Industry Federation Science and Technology Award issued not long ago, 4 textile machinery projects won the first prize. “Winning the market with products and technology” has become the consensus among textile machinery companies. Major companies in the textile machinery industry have accelerated the establishment of scientific and technological innovation mechanisms and increased investment in technology research and development. According to a survey conducted by the China Textile Machinery Association on technologically representative backbone enterprises in the industry, the proportion of enterprise technology development investment in the company’s sales for the year continues to increase. In addition, in terms of product research and development, a stable model of integrating industry, academia and research has been established.
Fourth, the level of corporate management and industry self-discipline have improved. Wang Shutian believes that in recent years, my country’s textile machinery enterprises have become more standardized and managed more scientifically. In July 2017, Fujian Ruineng Technology Co., Ltd. was successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, adding a new member to the list of listed textile machinery companies. In October 2017, Guangdong Jinlu Technology Co., Ltd. successfully landed on the New Third Board capital market. By going public or listing on the New Third Board, textile machinery companies have become more standardized in all aspects of their operations, and their operations and management have become more open and transparent. Jinlun Card Clothing (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. was awarded the “National Quality Award Encouragement Award” in 2017 after winning the “National Textile Industry Quality Award”.
In addition, in terms of industry self-discipline, in response to the serious phenomena of low-price competition and credit sales in the field of looms, major domestic rapier loom manufacturers have signed a self-discipline convention. Based on the experience of participating in last year’s exhibition, we will choose an exhibition platform with higher quality and better effects to help companies explore the international market more effectively.
In addition, the China Textile Machinery Association’s own construction will continue to improve. In order to better serve industry enterprises, the association has adjusted its own organizational structure in the past two years and redivided its business departments into five categories based on process division: spinning machinery, weaving machinery, printing and dyeing machinery, knitting machinery, chemical fiber and industrial machinery, etc. Ministry of Industry, and successively established the Knitting Machinery Branch, Weaving Machinery Manufacturing Branch, Spinning Machinery Branch, Nonwoven Machinery Branch, Printing and Dyeing Machinery Branch and Chemical Fiber Machinery Branch.
