A few days ago, Xiangzhou County, Guangxi ushered in the summer cocoon harvest season, and purchase points opened scales to purchase summer cocoons one after another. The purchase price was around 40 yuan/kg. It is understood that some silkworm farmers in Xiangzhou have already carried out summer cutting of mulberry trees in mulberry orchards. It is expected that the summer cutting and management work of all mulberry orchards will be completed around the end of July to prepare for the rearing of autumn silkworms in the second half of the year. At present, Xiangzhou County now has a relatively complete industrial chain of cocoon production and processing such as mulberry planting, sericulture, seed production, silk reeling, and silk home textiles, which can help farmers increase their income and workersemployment, to promote rural revitalization.
