Syria’s lint cotton output is expected to reach 10,000 tons
The US Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Foreign Affairs recently issued a report indicating that Syria’s lint cotton production in 2011 is expected to reach 160,000 tons, while seed cotton production will drop from 652,000 tons in the previous year to 472,000 tons. In addition, the report also revealed that the current planting area of Syrian seed cotton has reached 183,000 hectares.
