Vietnam’s textile and apparel market share increases in the United States
According to Vietnam’s “Investment News”, the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas) announced that Vietnam’s textile and apparel market share in the United States continues to increase. In the first half of 2011, Vietnam exported more than US$6.1 billion in textiles and clothing, of which 55% was exported to the United States. Vitas said that although export volume and market share have increased, the gap with China is still large. Vietnam’s textile and apparel industry is working hard to consolidate production and investment to gradually narrow this gap.
