According to the China Filament Weaving Association (CFWA), in the first quarter of this year, my country’s exports of filament fabrics grew at a slower rate than a year ago. The growth rate in the first quarter increased by 3.45% year-on-year to 1.890 billion meters.
In the second half of last year, the growth rate of filament fabrics was stable, but the export volume decreased month by month. Exports of filament fabrics declined in January-February but rose slightly in March.
The contribution rate of filament fabrics to exports dropped to 31.68%.
Our country’s filament weaving industry is experiencing unprecedented difficulties, which is the result of growing pressure from declining business.
