News: Exports of textiles and clothing are approximately US$1 billion
According to customs statistics, my country’s textile and apparel exports in May 2017 were approximately US$23.405 billion, a slight decrease of 0.47% year-on-year and an increase of 8.3% month-on-month. Among them, exports of textile yarns, fabrics and products were US$10.406 billion, a year-on-year increase of 1.97%, and a month-on-month increase of 6.03%; exports of clothing and clothing accessories were US$13 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 2.34%, and a month-on-month increase of 10.2%.
From January to May 2017, my country’s total exports of textiles and clothing were US$99.915 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 1.09%. Among them, exports of textiles were US$43.489 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.38%; exports of clothing were US$56.426 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 2.19%.
In 2016/17, as of May 2017, my country’s total exports of textiles and clothing were US$189.196 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 5.64%. Among them, textile exports were US$77.993 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 3.37%; clothing exports were US$111.203 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 7.17%.
