Indian cotton yarn export prices fall
In the week of June 1-7, demand in India was sluggish and cotton prices were weak. Domestic prices of Indian cotton yarn remained unchanged and export prices fell.
It is understood that in the past few months, Indian cotton prices have been high, cotton yarn export competitiveness has been weak, and exports to the international market have been sluggish. The export price of Indian cotton yarn continued to fall by 10 cents/kg last week, and it is expected that Indian cotton yarn exports may increase in the next few weeks.
