China business boosts Puma’s first-quarter sales
According to a report by the German n-TV news website on April 24, Puma got a good start this year, mainly benefiting from strong Chinese market demand. In the first quarter, the company’s profit increased by nearly 36% year-on-year to 67.4 million euros; earnings before interest and tax were 112 million euros, a year-on-year increase of nearly 60%; turnover increased by 12.5% to 1.13 billion euros. Björn Gulden, chairman of the company, said that sales in all regions around the world have achieved double-digit growth, and the company has accordingly increased its full-year revenue forecast for 2018.
