Liu Jianguo, President of the Shandong Textile and Garment Industry Association, said in his speech that Shandong’s textile and garment industry has the characteristics of a solid foundation, a complete industrial chain, a complete innovation system, and obvious cluster effects, covering all subdivided industry categories in the textile industry chain. While actively promoting the province’s economic and social development, the textile and garment industry is also facing new issues of carbon emission reduction and green development. To this end, Shandong Province formulated the “Modern Light Textile Industry 2022 Action Plan” in 2022. In addition, enterprises in the textile and garment industry in Shandong Province attach great importance to green and low-carbon development, continue to promote the research and development and exploration of relevant new technologies and new models, and have achieved a series of major achievements. Since 2016, a total of 29 green design products, 12 green factories, and 1 green supply chain management demonstration enterprise in Shandong Province have been included in the list of green manufacturing system construction by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
He emphasized that the “30.60 target” of carbon emissions is an urgent and arduous task now and for a long time to come. In order to promote energy conservation, emission reduction and green development in the entire industry, Shandong will focus on building two industries: the Shandong Province Textile and Garment Industry Industrial Internet Big Data Platform and the Shandong Province Textile and Garment Industry Industrial Finance Platform. Develop a public service platform to continue to provide high-end services for the all-round development of the industry and help the industry’s low-carbon transformation and green development.
Cheng Hao, deputy director of the Industry Department of the China National Textile and Apparel Federation, gave a relevant policy interpretation titled “Dual Carbon Targets and Energy Structure Change in the Textile Industry.” He shared the relevant national and industry policies, the top-level design of dual carbon and energy, the strategic path of dual carbon, and the main measures to reach the peak of textile carbon.
He said that the textile industry’s promotion of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality framework plans must be based on high-quality development and fulfillment of environmental responsibilities, and focus on energy structure and industrial structure adjustment, in order to improve energy utilization efficiency and promote industrial low-carbonization. level, and promote the clean, low-carbon and circular development of the textile industry chain.
