Jinghe: Cotton budding continues, cotton farmers hurry up to spray pesticides and fertilize
It has been more than February since the new cotton was sown. The weather in various parts of Xinjiang has remained normal, with less extreme weather than in previous years, which is conducive to cotton growth. At present, cotton in various parts of Xinjiang is growing well and budding has begun.
According to a cotton farmer in Jinghe, Xinjiang, 500 acres of cotton are planted this year, using a planting method of one film and three rows. The cotton is currently growing well, and most of the cotton has budded. Due to heavy rainfall and low temperatures in mid-to-late May, small and large seedlings appeared. However, as the weather improved later and cotton farmers actively carried out field management, it had little impact on cotton growth. The recent management of cotton fields mainly involves weeding, fertilizing, and spraying pesticides to prevent pests, and we will pay attention to weather changes in the future.
