According to customs statistics, my country’s exports of textiles and clothing in August 2017 were approximately US$26.283 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 5.91% and a month-on-month increase of 3.12%. Among them, exports of textile yarns, fabrics and products were US$9.696 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 5.37%, and a month-on-month increase of 3.83%; exports of clothing and clothing accessories were US$16.586 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 6.22%, and a month-on-month increase of 2.72%.
From January to August 2017, my country’s total exports of textiles and clothing were US$176.039 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 1.29%. Among them, exports of textiles were US$72.185 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.52%; exports of clothing were US$103.854 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 2.51%.
In 2016/17, my country’s total exports of textiles and apparel totaled US$265.32 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 4.50%. Among them, textile exports were US$106.689 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 2.31%; clothing exports were US$158.631 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 5.93%.
