Sales of clothing products in Sweden increased significantly
According to a report by Svenska Dagbladet on December 10, the Swedish Trade Style Index showed that clothing sales in Swedish physical stores and e-commerce platforms increased significantly in November. Sales increased 55% compared to the same period last year and 11% compared to the same period in 2019. Footwear sales in November were up 64% from the same period last year and down 6.8% from the same period in 2019. Mats Hedenström, director of business policy at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the data shows that customers across the country have returned to fashion consumption, which is very satisfactory. But as infections rise, there are concerns that epidemic restrictions may pose challenges to logistics and transportation. Vaccination is key to the opening of society, which is crucial for everyone, including the clothing industry.
