Bangladesh’s garment exports have reached full target within the country
From July 2021 to April 2022, Bangladesh’s ready-made garment (RMG) exports have reached the full-year (fiscal year) target, with an export value of US$35.362 billion; the full-year target (to 2022 By the end of June 2018), US$35.144 billion.

Data show that from July 2021 to April 2022, Bangladesh’s knitwear export value was US$19.242 billion, compared with the export value of the previous year (fiscal year) (139.95 billion US dollars) increased by 37.49%; woven garment exports increased by 34.23% to US$16.119 billion, a smaller increase. During the same period, the total exports of woven and knitted garments and accessories accounted for 81.58% of Bangladesh’s total exports (US$43.344 billion).
Home textile exports (Chapter 63, excluding 630510) also increased by 39.13% to US$1.331 billion during this 10-month period; July 2020 to 2021 Exports in April were US$957 million.
