Fabric coating and water-repellent finishing process

Clothing coating water repellent finishing waterproof fabric
Applying a continuous thin film layer that is impermeable, airtight, and insoluble in water on a waterproof surface is called coating finishing . In order to improve the non-stick properties of coated waterproof fabrics and improve their feel, a water-repellent agent must be used for water-repellent finishing after coating.
1. Preparation of polyacrylate resin coating agent
1. Prescription : ① 100 parts of polyacrylate resin, 14-16 parts of ethyl acetate, 1.8-2 parts of cross-linking agent; ② 100 parts of polyacrylate pulp, 7-8 parts of ethyl acetate, 7-8 parts of gasoline, cross-linking agent 1.8-2 servings.
2. Preparation of working pulp: The equipment is a vertical single-shaft mixer. Operation: First use part of the ethyl acetate to dilute the cross-linking agent and stir evenly, add polyacrylate slurry and the remaining ethyl acetate, and stir with a vertical single-shaft mixer for about half an hour until evenly mixed.
2. Coating water-repellent finishing process
1. Process flow: Preparation Drying → impurity removal → coating → drying → rolling → water-repellent finishing
2. Process requirements: ① Pre-baking: ensure that the raw silk is fed smoothly. The wide sharp edge defects caused by the previous process can be improved to some extent, which is beneficial to improving the coating quality. ② Impurity removal: In order to prevent yarn and dust particles from being carried at the edge of the scraper, causing stripe defects, a fixed brush is installed in front of the scraper to remove dust, yarn and other impurities. ③Coating: Use a scraper on the coating machine to evenly scrape the coating slurry on the surface of the waterproof fabric. The scraping can be done once or several times according to different requirements. ④ Drying: In order to remove the solvent in the coating slurry and make it a strong film, it should be dried immediately after scraping. ⑤Water-repellent finishing: In order to obtain good water-splashing and rain-repellent effects, the coated fabrics need to be water-repellent.
The waterproof fabrics produced by City Textile mostly adopt the method of adding waterproof additives during fabric production, so that the fabric can maintain its original appearance. It has good waterproof performance and is mostly used for making protective clothing and other purposes.
