However, those engaged in fabric design only account for 1.5% of the total number of employees in the textile and apparel industry, and high-level talents such as creative masters and design elites are even more scarce. Those engaged in pattern design do not understand printing and dyeing technology, those engaged in fabric design are not familiar with post-finishing, and those engaged in post-finishing do not understand textile technology. Plagiarism is common and there are few original works… The overall quality of the team of fabric design practitioners is worrying.
According to the person in charge of the organizer of the competition, the competition is jointly promoted by the China Textile Information Center, the National Textile Product Development Center and the Shaoxing County People’s Government. The competition aims to encourage market-oriented development of textile fabrics and pattern products. Design and innovation, advocating the product development concept of combining fashion trend research with actual production. At the same time, discovering and cultivating talents is another important mission of the competition. The event will continuously promote the growth of textile design professionals, inspire more innovative inspiration, strengthen the combination of industry and design, and promote the continuous progress of the textile industry.
