Vietnam sets a goal of US$100 million in footwear exports
According to Vietnam’s “Youth Daily”, the chairman of the Vietnam Footwear Association said that although the EU has levied a 10% anti-dumping tax on Vietnamese leather shoes, the EU is still Vietnam’s main export market for footwear, accounting for half of Vietnam’s total footwear exports. 50%; followed by the US market, accounting for 30%. Although Vietnam’s footwear exports did not complete the original export plan in 2009, it still proposed a target of 10% export growth in 2010 (i.e. US$4.4 billion).
