Uzbekistan Cotton Exhibition signed an export order of 10,000 tons of cotton
Recently, at the International Cotton Yarn and Cotton Exhibition held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan’s cotton spinning companies received 680,000 tons of cotton export contracts and textile orders worth US$1 billion. At the 2012 exhibition, Uzbek cotton companies signed cotton orders of 670,000 tons, and textile export orders exceeded US$600 million.
The Uzbek government stated that the exhibition was held to expand the export of Uzbek cotton and cotton yarn. The exhibition is hosted by the Uzbekistan government and the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC). This year, more than 1,000 cotton and textile companies from more than 40 countries around the world participated.
