EU issues consumer warning on Chinese children’s T-shirts
On June 17, 2011, the European Commission’s non-food rapid warning system issued a consumer warning on Chinese-made children’s T-shirts. The notifying country in this case is Hungary. This children’s T-shirt comes with a hood and measures 116cm.
Since the hood of this children’s T-shirt has a hood cord, there is a risk of suffocation due to strangulation of the child’s neck. This product does not comply with the relevant EU standard EN14682.
Currently, the Hungarian authorities have ordered the product to be withdrawn from the market and recalled.
To this end, it is recommended that relevant domestic production and export enterprises attach great importance to this.
