Jiangxi Province’s textile industry exports get off to a good start
Against the background of the global economic downturn, as an export-oriented industry, Jiangxi’s textile and apparel exports bucked the trend and gained momentum in the first month of this year. In January, the province’s textile industry achieved exports of US$257 million, a year-on-year increase of 35.57%, 11 percentage points higher than the provincial average. Among them, clothing exports were US$204 million, a year-on-year increase of 41.57%; textile exports were US$53 million, a year-on-year increase of 16.37%.
