New rates for Russian import tariffs will be introduced
Interfax, Moscow, April 11, Eurasian Economic Commission Trade Minister Srepnev said on Wednesday that the new import tariff rates implemented after Russia officially joins the World Trade Organization will be introduced in early May. The new tax rate will take effect 30 days after Russia approves the WTO accession agreement, which is initially expected to be in September this year.
Srepnev also said that the final tariff level this year will drop from 10% last year to 7.5-7.8%.
