The U.S. CPSC implements a voluntary recall of Chinese-made girls’ cotton-padded clothes
On May 8, 2012, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and LAFashionHub Company jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made girls’ cotton clothing.
The recalled girls’ cotton-padded clothes have drawstrings in the hoods. The specifications are 4T, 5, 6 and 6X. They are available in 4 colors: pink, green, red and yellow. They are made of polyester fiber and have zippers and snap buttons on the front. or buckles, pocket styles vary. The girls’ cotton-padded clothes were sold at dd’s Discounts stores in the United States from January 2011 to January 2012, with a unit price of approximately US$10 per piece.
The number of products recalled this time is approximately 2,300. The reason for the recall is that the drawstring on the hood of the cotton jacket poses a strangulation hazard to children’s necks. As of now, LAFashionHub has not received any accident reports.
For this reason, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that consumers immediately pull out the drawstring in the hat to eliminate the danger, or contact the dd’s Discounts store for a return and full refund.
