EU issues consumer warning on Chinese-made children’s jackets
On May 11, 2012, the European Commission’s non-food rapid warning system issued a consumer warning on Chinese-made “Glo-Story” brand children’s jackets. The notifying country in this case is Hungary. The red children’s hooded jacket notified this time can be worn reversibly, with the words “GloStory”, “Disney” and “Mickey Mouse & Friends” printed on it. The hood is equipped with an movable drawstring with a plastic adjustment buckle and rope at the end. Knot, size is 6-7years/122cm; product model is DBFY-6228, barcode is 5999032762282.
Since the hood of this children’s jacket is equipped with a drawstring with an adjustable buckle, there is a certain risk of suffocation and it does not comply with the relevant EU standard EN14682.
At present, the Hungarian authorities have taken measures to withdraw the product from the market and recall it.
To this end, it is recommended that relevant domestic production and export enterprises attach great importance to this.
