Peru cancels the anti-dumping duties levied on Chinese-made blended fabrics with tariff code…
On May 25, the Peruvian National Institute for Competition and Intellectual Property Protection (INDECOPI) made a decision to cancel the anti-dumping duties levied on blended fabrics from China with tariff number 5515.11.00.00. The resolution takes effect from May 26.
In 1994, Secret Recipe launched an anti-dumping investigation into a variety of Chinese-made textiles, including the above-mentioned products, and made a decision to impose anti-dumping duties in August 1995. In August 2009, China decided to continue to impose anti-dumping duties on the above-mentioned Chinese products for three years. In March 2012, INDECOPI initiated a change of circumstances review of the case. Since no Peruvian company submitted an application for review of the expiry of anti-dumping measures within the specified time, in accordance with relevant Peruvian laws, the bureau finally ruled to formally stop imposing anti-dumping duties on the blended products.
