In July, the impact of textiles on overall exports continued to decline, while clothing exports maintained growth

Data released by the General Administration of Customs on August 7 showed that in U.S. dollars, in July, under the influence of textiles, textile and clothing exports continued for the third month fell, but the decline was lower than in May; clothing exports maintained good growth momentum. The cumulative export trend of textile and clothing from January to July was steady, with growth compared with the same period in 2020 and 2019.

The total import and export value of national trade in goods in RMB:

From January to July 2021, the cumulative exports of textiles and clothing were 1.09021 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of -0.93%, an increase of 5.5% over the same period in 2019, of which textile exports were 519.89 billion yuan, a decrease of 17.94%, an increase of 10.13% over the same period in 2019 , clothing exports reached 570.32 billion yuan, an increase of 22.17%, an increase of 1.61% over the same period in 2019.

In July, textile and clothing exports were 181.39 billion yuan, a decrease of 18.24%, a month-on-month increase of 1.82%, and a decrease of 4.21% compared with the same period in 2019. Among them, textile exports were 75.06 billion yuan, a decrease of 33.73%, a month-on-month decrease of 6.90%, and a month-on-month decrease of 4.21%. An increase of 1.30%, clothing exports were 106.33 billion yuan, a decrease of 2.08%, a month-on-month increase of 9.03%, and a decrease of 7.76% compared with the same period in 2019.

From January to July 2021, the cumulative exports of textiles and clothing were US$168.351 billion, an increase of 7.73%, an increase of 10.95% over 2019, of which textile exports were US$80.252 billion, a decrease of 10.80%, an increase of 15.67% over 2019, and clothing exports were 880.98 billion, an increase of 32.89%, and an increase of 6.97% over 2019.

In July, textile and clothing exports were US$28.273 billion, a decrease of 9.65%, a month-on-month increase of 2.2%, and an increase of 2.76% over the same period in 2019. Among them, textile exports were US$11.698 billion, a decrease of 26.78%, a month-on-month decrease of 6.53%, and a year-on-year increase of 2.76% over the same period in 2019. An increase of 8.65%.
