Liuzhou, Guangxi: Inviting experts and scholars to help develop the sericulture industry
Relying on the construction of the “Liuzhou Silk IndustryTalent Small Highland” project, November 17-19, 2021, Human Resources and Social Security of Liuzhou City, Guangxi The Bureau, Liuzhou Agricultural and Rural Affairs Bureau, and Liuzhou Agricultural Technology Extension Center jointly invited Liuzhou City’s “Double Hundred Talent Project” experts, researcher Zou Yuxiao, deputy director of the Sericulture and Agricultural Products Processing Institute of the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and director of the Sericulture Department of Shandong Agricultural University Associate Professor Zhang Shengxiang came to Liuzhou to guide the development of Liuzhou’s sericulture industry and the construction of sericulture professional and technical personnel.
On the afternoon of the 17th, Associate Professor Zhang Shengxiang, accompanied by Yang Ri, deputy director of the Municipal Agricultural Technology Promotion Center, rushed to Chongmai Town, Liucheng County to guide the local silkworm co-breeding cooperative to carry out demonstration research on artificial feed breeding of silkworms. Zhang Shengxiang gave answers and solutions to the problems encountered in the silkworm co-breeding room such as insufficient humidity and easy deterioration of artificial feed. Our country has been studying artificial feed breeding of silkworms for a long time, and has recently begun to promote and demonstrate it across the country. Artificial feed breeding of silkworms will be a revolution in the sericulture industry, which can save labor and improve the quality of silkworm cocoons font> and other features.
On the 18th, the “2021 Liuzhou Rural Talent Revitalization and Silkworm Production Technology Training Course” hosted by the Liuzhou Agricultural Technology Promotion Center and undertaken by the Rongshui Miao Autonomous County Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau was held in Rongshui County. At the training meeting, Deputy Director Yang Ri and Deputy Director of Rongshui Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau Mao Huansheng gave opening speeches respectively. Researcher Zou Yuxiao and Associate Professor Zhang Shengxiang respectively spoke on “Comprehensive Utilization of Sericulture Resources and Agricultural Products Processing” and “Research and Promotion of Silkworm Artificial Feed Breeding” “Carry out a unique professional and technical training for more than 30 key people in silkworm technology in Liuzhou City. In the afternoon of that day, the training class went to the edible mulberry planting base of Furongbei Jiangyuan Company in Rongshui County to conduct on-site training. On the second day, teacher Zhang Shengxiang led the students to the Edible Mulberry Research and Development Enterprise for further study guidance. Associate Professor Zhang Shengxiang gave constructive opinions and suggestions on the development of edible mulberry by enterprises. He pointed out that when processing mulberry leaf dishes, enterprises must ensure food safety and do a good job in traceability; the cultivation, picking and processing of edible mulberry must be standardized.
