China continues to be the largest importer of Uruguay wool
According to statistics recently released by the Uruguay Wool Bureau, the total export value of wool and its processed products in 2016 was US$209.2 million, a year-on-year decrease of 17.4%. China continues to remain the top export destination, accounting for 42.2% of total exports, followed by Germany (16.5%), Italy (6.8%), Turkey (5/1%), and Bulgaria (3.7%).
