The export price of Indian cotton yarn to China rose slightly
In the week of August 1-9, Indian cotton prices rebounded slightly, and cotton yarn export prices fell. According to statistics, the price of S-6 cotton rose by 200 rupees/kandi to 42,400 rupees/kandi last week, but it was still down 1.4% from the past four weeks and 10.55% from the same period last year; the export price of cotton yarn fell slightly, with the price of C30S falling slightly. It fell 5 cents to 2.9 cents/pound, down 6.45% from the same period last year.
As polyester prices rebounded, polyester-cotton yarn prices rose slightly, with the price of T65/C3530S rising slightly by 3 cents/pound to 2.7 cents/pound, down 1.82% from the same period last year.
Although India’s overall cotton yarn export price has been reduced, the export price to China has increased slightly by about 0.35 cents/pound, which is higher than the average level in the past four weeks.
