Cotton yarn prices in Pakistan are stable and blended yarns fall sharply
In the week of October 12-18, affected by weak domestic and export market demand, the prices of polyester-cotton yarn (PC) and polyester-viscose yarn (PV) in Pakistan fell sharply. Among them, the price of 20S polyester-cotton yarn fell by 5 rupees/pound cumulatively. The amplitude is 4.42%.
Last week, the prices of cotton, polyester, and viscose fiber in Pakistan were extremely strong, and the price of domestic cotton yarn remained unchanged, consistent with the stability of cotton prices. Pakistan’s cotton yarn export prices have remained stable in the past four weeks, and the market is waiting for further trends in cotton prices.
Pakistan’s polyester fiber prices were at a relatively high level last week, mainly supported by strong international crude oil prices. At present, Pakistan’s imports from the Chinese market are recovering, and polyester fiber prices are expected to continue to remain strong in the next few days.
