“White Paper on Textile Sustainable Future Materials” solicits papers from the industry
In order to promote the sustainable exploration, dialogue and application of future materials in China’s textile industry, stimulate the sustainable leadership of the industry in the future, and promoteIndustrial economy and social highquality develop in harmony. In 2021, the Social Responsibility Promotion Committee of the China Textile and Apparel Industry Federation launched the first phase of the “Sustainable Future Materials” open source project, focusing on exploratory research on textile sustainable future materials and compiling the “Textile Sustainable Future Materials White Paper” for the textile and apparel industry in 2030. The mid-term and 2050 long-term sustainable development goals are to explore the unified connotation and evaluation system of sustainable future materials, as well as the industry goals and roadmap for the development of sustainable future materials.
To this end, the Social Responsibility Office of the China Textile and Apparel Industry Federation has carried out research and collection of outstanding papers related to the “White Paper on Textile Sustainable Future Materials”. The paper collection activity is open to researchers and practitioners in the entire textile industry. The activity is to “encourage the industry to carry out academic research With the purpose of “researching and deepening the environmental protection design level, promoting the development of green technology, and guiding the direction of industry change”, through the essay solicitation activities, we will brainstorm ideas and inspire all stakeholders in the textile industry chain to have an interest in sustainable materials. Scientific thinking reflects the views and trends of the sustainable development of materials in the textile industry from enterprises, institutions and colleges in the industry, and explores the sustainable development trends of future industrial materials in the textile industry and the direction of technological innovation.

2. Content and scope of the paper
This special topic call for papers must be based on a certain scientific foundation and technical feasibility, focusing on the development direction of green sustainable textile materials, and predicting sustainable materials with large-scale industrial application prospects in the textile field in the future (10 years later) , the negative impact of this type of material on ecology, biology and the environment can be reduced to a minimum, and this type of material is simultaneously discussed from the three dimensions of green, fashion and technology:
1) Green dimension:
Evaluate its green, environmentally friendly and harmless sustainability from the source of raw materials, energy consumption and emissions during processing, and recycling of products throughout its life cycle.
2) Fashion dimension:
Compared with existing products, textile products based on the above materials have functional and fashionable advantages, thereby better meeting people’s deeper needs for high-quality and better life.
3)Technological dimension:
The technical feasibility of this material partially or completely replacing existing mainstream materials;
The feasibility of this material to meet society’s demand for multifunctional materials through improvement and innovation of existing materials.
Issues not discussed in this call for papers:
Textile materials that are currently widely used on a large scale and do not meet the above dimensions are not within the scope of this call for papers.
3. Manuscript requirements
1) In line with the scope of the call for papers, highlighting innovation, forward-looking and professionalism, having application value and theoretical value, and being able to comprehensively reflect the development status of this discipline and related fields. It is important for industry management , decision-making has a reference role.
2) Original and true, smooth text and science, prominent theme, clear viewpoint, refined text, accurate data, sufficient argumentation, clear conclusion, illustrated by figures, true and reliable, and has application and promotion value for this industry.
3) The format of the manuscript from top to bottom is: title, author’s name, author’s unit, province and city (including postal code), abstract, keywords, Chinese National Library Classification Number, main text, and references.
4. Review, publication and exchange of essays
This essay solicitation event is jointly organized by the Social Responsibility Office of China Textile and Apparel Industry Federation, China Textile Information Center and Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology. The paper solicitation activity will hire textile industry scientific research experts and university professors to form a review team. The authors of the reviewed papers will:
Invited to become a member of the “Textile Sustainable Future Materials Laboratory”, a co-editor of the “Textile Sustainable Future Materials White Paper” and received certificates and bonuses;
Invited to communicate with leading companies in the textile materials industry including Lenzing Group and Eastman Group to discuss the design and application of sustainable materials;
Invited to participate in the “Sustainable Future Materials Summit”, and discuss with guests and consumer companies the development trends of sustainable materials in the textile industry, as well as the relationship between materials and the consumer market in the future.
At the same time, excellent papers that meet the requirements of “Journal of Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology (Natural Science Edition)” (Peking University Chinese Core) will be recommended for rapid publication in the journal column.
