Kuqa: Cotton is growing well and harvesting will begin after the National Day

Cotton farmers in Kuqa, southern Xinjiang, said that the second defoliant spraying work in cotton fields began on September 24, and machine harvesting of seed cotton is expected to begin on October 8. Judging from the current growth situation, the cotton yield per unit area this year has increased compared with last year. Due to the high prices of agricultural inputs, the cost of cotton planting is higher than in previous years. Regarding the sales price of seed cotton, cotton farmers said that they will sell it on the market after picking.
