From now on, Russia will trial the use of electronic tags on shoes
According to a report by RIA Novosti on June 1, the Russian government issued an order that from June 1 this year to June 30, 2019, electronic tags will be trialled on shoes throughout Russia. The main purpose is to combat the illegal import, production and sale of footwear products and to increase Russian tax revenue.
In 2016, Eurasian Economic Union countries affixed electronic labels to leather products and achieved significant results. By 2024, Russia will have a comprehensive marking and tracking system for goods. (Title: Starting from June 1st, Russia will trial the affixing of electronic tags to shoes)
