Egypt’s garment exports reached US$1 billion so far
According to the “Egyptian Gazette” report on June 28: The Egyptian Ready-made Garment Export Council (RMGEC) stated that Egypt’s ready-made garment exports reached US$645 million in the first five months of 2018, an increase of 12% from the same period in 2017 (US$575 million). Among them, exports to the United States reached US$310 million, a year-on-year increase of 12%, exports to Europe reached US$219 million, a year-on-year increase of 16%, exports to Africa reached US$1.253 million, and exports to Arab countries reached US$30 million, compared with the same period in 2017 (35 million USD) decreased by 16%.
