Turkey made a positive final ruling on the anti-dumping review of Chinese man-made and synthetic staple fiber yarns and sewing threads
On May 22, 2020, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2020/8, which regulates artificial and Synthetic staple fiber yarn and sewing thread (Turkish: sentetik veya sunidevams?z liflerden iplikler) made an affirmative final ruling on the anti-dumping sunset review and decided to continue to impose anti-dumping duties on the companies involved in the above-mentioned countries. The details are as follows: Chinese company NantongA-ZTextileCo., Ltd. is 0.49 US dollars/kg, other Chinese companies are 0.80 US dollars/kg; Indian companies are 0.29-0.39 US dollars/kg; Indonesian companies are 0.23-0.40 US dollars/kg; Malaysian companies are 11.26-18.32%; Pakistani companies are 6.62- 12.18%; Thai companies are 7.79-20.24%; Vietnamese companies are 19.48-26.25%. The Turkish tariff numbers of the products involved are 55.08, 55.09 (except 5509.52, 5509.61, and 5509.91), 55.10 (except 5510.20), and 55.11.
On January 11, 2008, Turkey launched an anti-dumping investigation into man-made and synthetic short fiber yarns and sewing threads originating in China, Indonesia, and India. On January 12, 2009, Turkey began to impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved in the case from China, Indonesia, and India. On January 10, 2014, Turkey launched its first anti-dumping sunset review investigation into the products involved in the above three countries. On April 17, 2015, the Turkish Ministry of Economy issued Announcement No. 2015/8, making the first anti-dumping sunset review final ruling on the products involved in China, Indonesia, and India.
On October 18, 2012, Turkey launched an anti-dumping investigation into man-made and synthetic short fiber yarns and sewing threads originating in Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, and Vietnam. On April 8, 2014, the Turkish Ministry of Economy issued Announcement No. 2014/2, which began to impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved in the case from Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
On December 31, 2018, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2019/2, which regulates products originating in China, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, Vietnam’s artificial and synthetic staple fiber yarns and sewing threads have initiated an anti-dumping sunset review investigation. On July 6, 2019, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2019/21, canceling the anti-dumping sunset review investigation of Indonesian companies PTElegantTextileIndustry and PTSunriseBumiTextiles.
