Canada implements recall of Chinese-made children’s tops
On December 8, 2021, Health Canada announced a recall of children’s tops made in China and Pakistan.
The recalled products are children’s tops with hoods, collar drawstrings and buttons. The specific recalled product information is as follows:
Product The drawstrings may get stuck on playgrounds, fences, cars and other objects, causing children to be strangled or dragged.
The product was sold in Canada from March to December 2021, with approximately 442 units sold.
Health Canada recommends that consumers immediately remove drawstrings, etc. from their clothing.
