Canada implements recall of children’s jackets made in China
On December 13, 2021, Health Canada announced a recall of children’s jackets made in China.
The recalled products are HotPaws winter jackets with drawstring hoods. The specific recalled product information is as follows:
Product The drawstring creates a suffocation hazard.
The product was sold in Canada in November 2021, with approximately 1926 units sold.
As of December 6, 2021, 3 death reports have been received.
Health Canada advises consumers to remove the drawstring immediately.
